At Visilion, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our software and services.

Data Collection and Storage

Visilion is designed with data sovereignty as a core principle. All your data is stored locally on your machine. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your business data on our servers.

• Local Storage: Your data is stored locally in the data/ folder of the application directory.
• No Cloud Sync: We do not provide cloud synchronization services, ensuring your data never leaves your device.
• SQLite Database: All information is stored in a secure SQLite database file on your local filesystem.

Information We Don't Collect

• Patient records and personal information
• Invoice and financial data
• Inventory information
• Appointment scheduling data
• Any identifiable personal information (name, email, address)

Anonymous Product Telemetry

To understand how Visilion is used and improve the product, the desktop application sends a small, fully anonymous "App Launch" event when you open it. This telemetry never contains your data — only:

• A random anonymous device ID generated locally and stored in the application's user-data folder. It cannot be linked back to you.
• The operating system, architecture, and app version.
• A timestamp of the last launch.

This telemetry is processed by Mixpanel (EU data residency) solely to measure active usage and platform breakdowns. If you are offline, the event is safely discarded and the app continues to work normally.

Internet Usage

Visilion works entirely offline. Internet connectivity is only required for:

• Software updates (if enabled)
• Sharing documents via Email or WhatsApp (optional)
• Accessing external links from within the application
• Sending anonymous launch telemetry (skipped automatically if offline)

Your Rights

• Right to Access: You have full access to all your data at any time.
• Right to Delete: You can delete your data at any time by removing the application's data folder. The anonymous device ID (.client_id) lives there too and can be deleted the same way.
• Right to Export: You can export and backup your data using the built-in backup functionality.

Cookie Policy

Visilion does not use any cookies, tracking pixels, or similar technologies on its website. In its software, the only data transmitted is the anonymous launch telemetry described above, which contains no identifiable information.

Children's Privacy

Visilion is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Visilion is established, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
